Overview:
The pcProx ExpressCard is designed for customers seeking to leverage their existing card system for applications beyond physical security. The family of pcProx card and badge readers eliminate the need for manual entry providing error-free identification. The ExpressCard allows users to leverage their building access cards for other forms of identification and security throughout the workplace. Engineered to work with nearly all proximity and contactless technologies, pcProx readers provide error-free identification for over 300 million physical access proximity cards and badges worldwide.
The pcProx ExpressCard adds flexibility to connectivity needs by incorporating RF IDeas technology into an ExpressCard format. It is designed to provide interchangeability among computers and other devices where ruggedness, low power, small size, portability and security are critical. The ExpressCard can be easily and quickly installed into any device that has an ExpressCard slot. This reader offers straightforward installation, configuration and the same ease-of-use expected with all RF IDeas products.
Using the optional RF IDeas Software Developer’s Kit (SDK), the pcProx ExpressCard can be easily integrated with most applications. It can be configured to add keystrokes before and after the card’s data. The ExpressCard emulates a keyboard and keystrokes the card’s ID and/or site code to the cursor’s location on the application.
